Meet Sampson, an adoptable dog in Jacksonville, Florida! Sampson was found wandering a busy street this summer. He was micro-chipped, but his owners’ situation had changed and they could no longer keep him. He’s such a sweet guy that The Old Dog House rescue took him in.
Sampson loves every person he meets. He is curious, gentle (especially with children) and even likes cats. He is house trained and a perfect houseguest. He is extremely smart, listens well and learns quickly. In fact, he loves training sessions… probably because they include treats. All he really wants is to hang out and be part of a family.
The vet guesstimates his age to be around 9 or 10, but he has lots of energy and a skip in his step. While he does extremely well on a leash, he is scared of other dogs. So, he needs a patient adopter to reassure him he’s safe and to help him with his doggie social skills.
He has had x-rays and blood work all showing he is a healthy guy. He is neutered and up-to-date on shots, as well as monthly heartworm and flea preventative.
