As you prepare to celebrate Memorial Day and honor our country’s veterans, don’t forget about the homeless dogs roaming the streets of the First Coast. While you are enjoying a picnic or pool party, a senior dog without a family might be hungry and overheated, wandering and searching for shelter.
Summer is one of the most crucial times at The Old Dog House. We are often called about senior dogs who are without families and need a loving home to call their own, even if only for a short time. As summer approaches, families move to new school districts, and sometimes they can’t bring their pets, leaving them on their own to find food and shelter. As summer approaches, some Floridians are strapped with high air conditioning bills, leaving them without the ability to pay for their senior dog’s food and medicine. As summer approaches, homeless dogs seek shelter and many of those dogs end up in the care of The Old Dog House.
That’s why we need your help. Help us help the old dogs now. Make a tax-deductible donation to The Old Dog House today:
The Old Dog House is Northeast Florida’s first nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to giving older and senior dogs a second chance at a new life. We rely solely on the generosity of the individuals in our community for assistance in furthering our mission to give older and senior dogs a second, sometimes third, chance at living out their lives in dignity.
