Strut Your Mutt is held in various cities across the United States to raise money for homeless animals in the care of shelters and rescue groups. Best Friends Animal Society, a nonprofit, national animal rescue and advocacy organization, puts on the event each year. According to Best Friends Animal Society, more than 5,500 animals are killed each day because they don’t have homes. Best Friends Animal Society’s goal is to reduce that number to zero, stopping the needless euthanasia of dogs and cats.
The Old Dog House is Northeast Florida’s first nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to giving older and senior dogs a second chance at a new life. We rely solely on the generosity of the individuals in our community for assistance in furthering our mission to give older and senior dogs a second, sometimes third, chance at living out their lives in dignity.
Best Friends Animal Society is the United States’ only national animal welfare organization that focuses exclusively on stopping the killing of dogs and cats in American shelters. As a leader in the no-kill movement, Best Friends operates the country’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals. Best Friends also runs lifesaving programs in collaboration with a nationwide network of members and partners working to Save Them All.
