Early Morning Preparations
The day starts at 6:00 AM when I check my service schedule for the day. Working at Pro Air HVAC means being ready for anything, especially during the cold Illinois winters. After loading up my service truck with essential parts and tools, I head to our first call in Normal, IL.
Morning Service Call
My first stop is a furnace inspection for an elderly couple. These preventative maintenance visits are crucial before winter sets in. I thoroughly check:
• Heat exchanger integrity
• Electrical connections
• Thermostat functionality
• Air filter condition
• Blower motor performance
Emergency Response
By mid-morning, we get an urgent call from Bloomington – a family’s heating system has completely shut down. With temperatures hovering around freezing, this becomes our priority. After diagnosing the issue, I discover their furnace needs immediate replacement. I explain the options and schedule our team for installation the next day.
Afternoon in Clinton
The afternoon takes me to Clinton for a scheduled heating repair. A homeowner’s furnace is making unusual noises. After inspection, I find the blower motor bearing is wearing out. Thankfully, I have the replacement parts in my truck – always being prepared is essential in this line of work.
End of Day
Before heading back to headquarters, I make a final stop in Heyworth for a routine furnace service. These regular maintenance calls help prevent emergency breakdowns during the peak winter months.
Working in the HVAC industry across Central Illinois communities means every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help people stay comfortable in their homes. The satisfaction of solving heating problems and ensuring families stay warm makes this career incredibly rewarding.
Remember, regular maintenance is key to preventing those middle-of-the-night emergency calls, though we’re always ready when they happen!
